What You Should Know
9 million people across the UK are caring for our loved ones.

3 out of 5 of us will be a carer in our lifetime.

Unpaid family carers provide over 90% of all care in the UK.

Carers are anyone who care unpaid for a family member, friend or colleague who is disabled, frail, or ill or who has a mental health or addiction problems. Unpaid carers are not the same as paid care workers.

We’re building a community of unpaid carers.
Together, we have a voice. Together, we are stronger. Together we can create change.
You can join us by:

Signing up to our newsletter

We curate a list of the latest carer news and content, together with the latest in politics and campaigning. We summarise and offer up social media posts you might have missed. We’ll do the heavy lifting so you can don’t have to, saving valuable time

Sharing Your Story

By sharing your story with us, you enable us to campaign more effectively. We use your stories in multiple ways. From creating quotes, we share on social media, thorough to including blogs from carers. We might ask you to share your story in a newspaper, an online article or in a radio interview or a news report. We can keep your story anonymous too.
Sharing your stories resonates with others who feel the same and enables us to feel less isolated and part of a wider community of carers who want to be valued.
